Writer, seamstress and artist. This blog is dedicated to entertaining those who enjoy good stories and laughter.

Generally I post or reblog intriguing, original or very humorous pictures, gifs and thoughts regarding the following fandoms:

X-Men, Once Upon a Time, Doctor Who, Jane Austen, Firefly, Harry Potter, Downton Abbey, etc.

I try to stay away from controversial subjects, although I will reblog occasional posts relating to the treatment of women, or the Pro-Life movement, if it presents information in a new and thought-provoking way.

As a writer and seamstress, I'll also include posts related to these areas of creativity.

Elenatintil: So Dr. Whale /is/ confirmed to be Dr. Frankenstein now?

elenatintil:

Not sure what I feel about this. I mean, fairy tales are one thing. They’ve been retold a million times, and they’re word of mouth stories so there are a dozen versions of a given tale…

Peter Pan was written by one person. Alice in Wonderland was written by one person; and Alice in Wonderland isn’t particularly magical as it is hallucinogenic. Who’s to say that animating that which is not alive does not count as magic? I would consider it so. “Frankenstein” may have been written by one person, but it’s been in culture for nearly 200 years. It’s been adapted and included in many parts of culture (TV, Movies, etc.). Can you seriously think of Halloween without thinking of the stereotypical Frankenstein?

Well, we’re allowed different opinions, thankfully. ;)

And yes, I can imagine halloween without it, because what we think of Frankenstein’s Monster is really nothing like what Mary Shelley created in her book. But I’ll spare you the college lit lecture. :)

But Frankenstein is science fiction - pretty much the grandfather of science fiction. And it’s not only…

Lancelot and King Midas aren’t fairytales either. They’re legends written in stories for generations. What makes Dr. Frankenstein different? The tale is still “other-worldly.” It’s classic (Victorian era) science fiction, not futuristic science fiction, so it’s completely compatible with the storyline thus far.

But Camelot and the story of King Midas both involve magical elements. Their stories would not be possible without magic. They’re also cultural stories, developed by a people group over many hundreds of years. Frankenstein was written by just one woman. What will we see next… Captain Nemo?

(Dracula I’d be okay with, since vampires are a cultural myth, and like Peter Pan has a magic element to the Bram Stoker story.)

A Costumer's thoughts on Mulan's armor

ABC released the pictures a few weeks ago, but I’ve been too sick to comment until now!

Missing’ TV Show (2012)  part 1 fave “Paul the Spy” stills
from episode 6, “A Busy Solitude”

There will certainly be a stills Part 2 and maybe even a Part 3! OMG!! I had NO idea we were gonna see this much Paul (Sean) in this show!! I originally thought it was only Becca who was looking for Michael in present day! Now PAUL is having flashbacks! And NOW things get more interesting. Michael’s a brilliant lad. NOW we know something about what Paul has been doing all these years. It still remains to be seen what Martin, or any other CIA person, *really* knows about it. Giancarlo simply DOES NOT hold a candle to Paul on any level. LOL.

This episode nearly drove me insane over Sean’s unrelenting hotness, I made a TON of screen shot stills. If you are looking for a certain shot, let me know!

Red Square never looked so good either!!
