Writer, seamstress and artist. This blog is dedicated to entertaining those who enjoy good stories and laughter.

Generally I post or reblog intriguing, original or very humorous pictures, gifs and thoughts regarding the following fandoms:

X-Men, Once Upon a Time, Doctor Who, Jane Austen, Firefly, Harry Potter, Downton Abbey, etc.

I try to stay away from controversial subjects, although I will reblog occasional posts relating to the treatment of women, or the Pro-Life movement, if it presents information in a new and thought-provoking way.

As a writer and seamstress, I'll also include posts related to these areas of creativity.
Since being on the computer hasn’t been too good for my head this week, I’ve done a /lot/ of drawing. I decided to design a bridal line based on the line-up in the new X-Men book. Here’s a peek at my initial sketch and a snippet from each final rendering.

I am THRILLED that Ellen Page will be back as Kitty, and Shawn Ashmore was a fairly decent Bobby - but man, no offense to Anna Paquin who is a good actress, but I do hope they revamp her original portrayal to include more of the fiesty Rogue we know and love from the comics and various TV series.

Blah-freakin-blah. EVERYTHING NEEDS MORE DAZZLER!!!I totally rage drew. It’s not a tight fit at all but I had to get it out. I think I can finally move on… until the next thing Dazz doesn’t get to be a part of. *tear

NICE MANIPULATION!
I’d be pissed about Ali not getting in it, except that she’s heading up her OWN TEAM over in X-Treme X-Men, and it’s a pretty awesome book at that.

Missing Women of Marvel 1602 by ~Elenatintil
When Neil Gaiman wrote “Marvel 1602” he wisely kept his cast to those characters of the early days of Marvel’s Golden Age. This meant he got the original iconic characters, an a heafty but manageable cast. However, it also meant that I never got to see some of my favorite women transformed into 1602 style superheroes. This piece is a concept work, done in pencils (color slightly tweaked in GIMP), of Rogue, Kitty and Ororo (all characters owned by Marvel, designs mine). In keeping with the style of Gaiman’s story, I set the costumes to reflect their characters when they were first introduced to the reading public. Rogue, as part of Mystique’s Brotherhood, dresses in a practical masculine style for her work as a terrorist.Kitty, as a normal teen, wears the female fashions of the day.Ororo was the hardest, as Africans still had a very minor appearance in Britain, but I wanted to include her and I thought the idea of a princess/goddess worked well with how Professor Xavier originally found her. Her costume is a tweaking of the cut and features of European dress, mixed with the drapery and heat awareness of African dress. I’d very much like to draw other variations on their costumes, as well as do some of the other characters.

Approximate current X-Men ages based Marvel aging formula

bedabug:

I posted awhile time ago about how to find the approximate age of any Marvel character. I finally got around to actually calculating some - and rounding a bit to make them all even numbers.

  • Scott (Cyclops) - 34
  • Hank (Beast) - 35
  • Warren (Angel/Archangel) - 33
  • Jean Grey [deceased but would be 33]
  • Bobby (Iceman) - 31
  • Piotr (Colossus) - 30
  • Kurt (Nightcrawler) [deceased but would be 29]
  • Kitty (Shadowcat) - 24
  • Ororo [Storm] - 34
  • Rogue - 27
  • Gambit - 32
  • Jubilee [forever 18 because she’s a vampire but she would be 20]
  • Emma Frost - 32
  • Logan (Wolverine) - OLD AS BALLS
